Following Dylan O’Brien’s on-set accident, The Death Cure production was postponed until further notice. Now, filming will pick up again next year.

Original reports of Death Cure star Dylan O’Brien’s injuries following an on-set accident were serious enough to land the actor in the hospital and delay production indefinitely.

However, we knew he was on the mend once information about a new project, American Assassin, stated surfacing, and the actor began to be seen in public following his injuries.

Now, Deadline is reporting that production on Maze Runner 3 will take off in February 2017. This has allowed for the cast and crew involved in the film to rearrange their schedules and move forward with the project.

Making sure everyone’s schedules matched up again was the biggest hurdle after O’Brien recovered from the accident, as it can be difficult to reunite everyone after they parted and began work on other projects. Luckily, it looks like it’s working out just fine for them.

Fans of Teen Wolf will certainly want to know what this means for the show. As of right now, the first half of Teen Wolf season 6 is complete and scheduled for a November 15 release date.

The latter half of the season will be going into production soon, which means O’Brien will potentially have fully recovered and found time to finish his character’s arc for the final season of the series. Fans of Stiles Stilinski will certainly be relieved to hear the news.

The new release date for ‘The Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ is January 12, 2018
