Check out our exclusive clip of the Death Cure featurette titled “Unlocking the Cure – Dystopia: The Completed World,” in which we get to see a closeup of WCKD’s headquarters.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is out on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD April 24, and to celebrate, we have an exclusive clip from one of the movie’s featurettes.

In this video, Director Wes Ball explains his vision for the final installment in this series. Instead of an overgrown maze or a desert landscape, the setting for the showdown at WCKD headquarters involved an urban setting that revealed the extent of the resources they had at their fingertips.

This kind of luxury is a far cry from what our Gladers are used to seeing.

It’s so interesting to see how intricate the set for WCKD really was. You might not have noticed every single detail when watching the movie, but it all comes together to provide a look into a fictional world that feels so utterly real.

And a huge shout out to Minho actor Ki Hong Lee for providing some much needed levity, despite the harrowing scenes he had to shoot in those labs!
