In a recent interview with GQ Max Greenfield talked all things New Girl! Ever wonder what Greenfield’s favorite episode is, what he loves about Twitter, or who he’d like to see guest star as his love interest? Check out what he had to say about all this and more!

GQ writes:

GQ: What has been your favorite episode of the season so far?
Max Greenfield: I liked all of them for so many different reasons but I think ultimately my favorite episode was “Bad in Bed.” It just really made me laugh. Justin Long and Zooey’s foreplay scene was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched that scene I don’t even know how many times. It’s one of those scenes where it feels very fresh and new even if you’ve seen it thousands of times.

GQ: You are super-active on Twitter. How much joy do you derive from it?
Max Greenfield: I love Twitter. My favorite thing to do these days is to Tweet things that seem very questionable as to whether I’m joking or not. Like I just tweeted, “Boom!” along with a picture of Scotty McCreery’s album and some people really didn’t get it. Some responded, “Oh my God, this is hilarious.” And then there were other people who went, “Um, are you really buying that?” You know, speaking of Twitter, I think the reason why I got into GQ in the first place is because someone that I’m friends with via Twitter recommended me.

GQ: Justin Long is Jess’s love interest. Who would you want to guest star on the show as Schmidt’s love interest?
Max Greenfield: Lena Dunham! Not only do I want Lena Dunham to play my love interest, I would fly out to New York to do whatever she wanted me to do on Girls.

GQ: You get to take your shirt off a lot on the show. Do you do any prep work?
Max Greenfield: I wouldn’t say I get to. I would say they write it into the script and I have to. I think there’s one episode where I don’t. I always tell people I’m not one of these guys that was, like, born with like a halfway decent body. I can’t eat whatever I want. I really have to work out for some of the jokes to make sense. Depending on how naked I am in the next episode, that’s how much I go to the gym the week before. I’m off now for three weeks for Christmas, which is great.

GQ: You recently posted a very funny video for Schmidt’s online dating profile. I know that you’re happily married now, but did you ever dabble in online dating?
Max Greenfield: I never did, but I think that video is my favorite thing I’ve ever done.

GQ: It’s really funny. What was the inspiration behind the twin scenes?
Max Greenfield: At the end of The Hills opener Brody and Audrina have this weird moment where they’re flirting with each other and I thought it would so ridiculous if at the end of the video I flirted with myself. My buddy who was shooting it said, “I can do this cool thing with the camera where we can split the screen and we could just have you walking with you and on the other side, you toasting champagne with yourself.” And I was like, “Yes, lets do that.”

GQ: And Lauren Conrad tweeted it out…
Max Greenfield: She did, which was the dream.

What actress would you like to see play opposite Greenfield as a love interest?
