New Girl‘s Max Greenfield was at the Emmys tonight and he revealed that he would be open to playing the role of Cristian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Speaking to E! Online, Max Greenfield was asked if he’d be willing do everything it takes to play the role of Christian Grey. Greenfield was asked if he’d be willing to do full frontals that Fifty Shades of Grey would demand.
Greenfield had this to say:
Yeah, that’s not a problem. That’s not the issue. It’s the issue of whether they wanna see that much intensity onscreen, because that’s what I plan to bring.
We don’t doubt that the actor behind the intensity that is Schmidt would be able to pull off the role of Christian Grey.

Interestingly enough, New Girl has recently signed on Carla Gugino to play Schmidt’s new boss who he is in a relationship with that was inspired by Fifty Shades. It seems that if Greenfield does wind up taking on the role of Christian Grey he will have gotten in some valuable practice.
