Deadline has reported that Fox has just closed a deal that will bring back Matthew Vaughn to direct a sequel to his highly successful X-Men: First Class.

The deal was reported in a larger piece on 20th Century Fox:

Fox has just closed a deal with Matthew Vaughn to come back and direct the sequel to X-Men: First Class, with Simon Kinberg writing the script and Bryan Singer back as producer.

While this news will come as little shock, it is nice to see Vaughn back on board as most agree X-Men: First Class was a great success and much of that is due to Vaughn as well as stars Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.
