Doctor Who’s Matt Smith has a sizable role in Terminator: Genisys, and it’s been a tightly controlled secret as to what role he took, but now it’s leaked and we may know what role the actor will be playing in the Terminator reboot. (major spoilers)

Update: At the request of the studio, the leaked content of this article has been removed.

Matt Smith should do an excellent job in any role he has in Terminator: Genisys, and we’re excited to see Smith in a new role since his work on the BBC’s Doctor Who.

Terminator: Genisys’ trailer looked pretty interesting, and it stars Game of Thrones’ incredibly popular Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) who seem like excellent choices for the sci-fi adventure, which will see Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to his iconic role as the Terminator.

Doctor Who actor Matt Smith was also a surprising (and late) addition to the cast, which should add an entirely new fanbase to the franchise, and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning should interest previous fans of the film series.

Game Of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke stars as Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke plays her son in the future, John Connor. Jai Courtney will play the time traveling Kyle Reese, and Day Okeniyi plays Danny Dyson, son of the cyborg developer, Miles Dyson, who was played by actor Joe Morton in Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Terminator: Genisys’ unique plot is being compared to Back to the Future Part II, which will most likely be its most intriguing aspect.

Terminator: Genisys will hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
