Tired of waiting for the premiere of Mary Poppins Returns? Disney is helping us pass the time with the release of two songs from the movie.

Mary Poppins Returns is one of the most highly anticipated movie releases of the holiday season. It’s a return to an incredibly loved character, and while the stakes are high for this flick, Disney seems to have knocked it out of the park on this one. From everything we’ve seen in trailers and images from the movie, they’ve managed to recapture the magic that made us fall in love with the practically perfect Mary Poppins in the original movie from 1964.

As Broadway World reports, Disney recently released the audio from two new Mary Poppins Returns songs for our listening pleasure, one featuring Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins herself and the other featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda as the street lamplighter, Jack. The songs both have incredibly different energies, but they are both absolutely beautiful.

Emily Blunt sings “The Place Where Lost Things Go,” and this song is just achingly beautiful. We’ve heard Blunt’s singing voice before in Into the Woods, but she takes things to another level with this emotional, gorgeous song.

Stepping into the shoes once filled by the legendary Julie Andrews was an incredibly huge task for Blunt as she took on the role of Mary Poppins. However, after hearing her sing this beautiful song, we’re even more certain that she will be absolutely amazing as Mary.

And while Mary Poppins Returns definitely does touch on some heavier subject matter, ultimately this is a movie that is meant to make you smile and feel hope. So Disney has also released the song “Trip a Little Light Fantastic” that Lin-Manuel Miranda sings along with Blunt and the rest of the cast.

“Trip a Little Light Fantastic” is an incredibly fun-sounding tune that has some “Step In Time” vibes for fans of the original film. We can’t wait to see the choreography and brilliant staging that will go along with such a fun song.

The soundtrack for Mary Poppins Returns releases on December 7, and we’ll get to see these amazing songs performed on the big screen when the film opens on December 19. Until then, if you need us, we’ll just be listening to these songs on repeat!
