Marvel’s new TV show on Freeform New Warriors has revealed it’s cast, including who will play Squirrel Girl!
According to The Hollywood Reporter Milana Vayntrub from This Is Us has landed the coveted role of Squirrel Girl. While Baby Daddy actor Derek Theler will be playing the opposite lead of Mister Immortal.
The cast is rounded out with Jeremy Tardy as Night Thrasher, Calum Worthy as Speedball, Matthew Moy as Microbe, and Kate Comer as Debrii.
New Warriors showrunner Kevin Biegel commented on the casting saying, “I am thrilled beyond belief to be working with this incredible group of actors. They are funny, sincere, eager, charming and perfectly embody these characters. It’ll be a blast and an honor to create this show with each of them.”
The series, which has already been picked up for 10-episodes on Freeform, will follow the characters as they learn how to cope with their abilities and growing up. This will be Marvel’s first live-action scripted comedy series, and let’s just hope that it does better than DC’s Powerless.
