Farewell, Marvel TV. The television division will officially shut it doors and shuffle its remaining shows over to Marvel Studios.

According to Deadline, the Marvel TV division will be phased out and its remaining shows will be folded into the pre-existing Marvel Studios.

“The decision has been made to complete Marvel TV projects that are currently in production, but not continue with any further development,” noted the TV division on Tuesday.

This means that the Marvel TV projects that are currently in production — including the live-action Helstrom for Hulu, the newly-announced four animated series, and the last season of ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — will continue, but any further development will not got ahead.

The move seems to have been telegraphed far enough ahead if you look back at all the different pieces of news that have emerged about Marvel TV shows over the last year or so.

Recently, the planned Ghost Rider spinoff series for Hulu ended up dead in the water in September, followed by the cancellation of Cloak & Dagger after two seasons on Freeform and the announcement that the upcoming season of The Runaways would be its last.

Over on Netflix, we heard about no new Marvel TV shows shows after Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and The Punisher were all cancelled over the last year.

Finally, recently Marvel TV saw the Hulu-set upcoming animated Chelsea Handler voiced and EP’d Tigra & Dazzler put on hold earlier this month with the departure of showrunner Erica Rivinoja and the staff writers.

Given the shuttering, it’s of course no surprise that Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb is out of a job, though he will likely stick around a bit longer to help with the transition. However, as a result of the transfer over to Marvel Studios, a significant portion of the unit’s staff are being laid off, including Cort Lane, Marsha Griffin, Mark Ambrose, Tom Lieber and Aimee Carlson.

However, the closing of Marvel TV doesn’t mean that there will be no more Marvel TV shows — it’s likely that Marvel simply wanted to clean house and house everything under one banner of Marvel Studios. In that regard, new upcoming original Marvel shows will premiere the recently launched Disney+ streaming service, including WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. those shows had already been placed under Kevin Feige’s mandate before he was anointed Chief Creative Officer in October.
