A small Christmas present for super hero film fans: Deadline is reporting that a director has officially been brought on board for Marvel’s Thor sequel which hits theaters in 2013.
I’m told that Marvel has set Alan Taylor, who was widely rumored to be on the short list to replace Patty Jenkins. Taylor is an accomplished TV director whose recent credits include Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and Nurse Jackie, and he directed the feature Palookaville. Jenkins got the job but then fell out over differences with Marvel on the sequel.
Thor 2 is slated to be released in November 2013. Do you think it’s a good idea to make a sequel to Thor? Reviews for the original film were pretty mixed.
