The Conjuring’s Patrick Wilson is set to join Marvel’s Ant-Man as the film’s final major character to be cast.

Deadline reports that actor Patrick Wilson is reportedly being tapped to play the last lead character to be cast in Marvel’s Ant-Man film starring Paul Rudd. Deadline reports that the character he will be playing is currently unknown, but it will be a major character.

Wilson has starred in two successful films recently, with The Conjuring pulling in $318 million on a $20 million dollar budget. The actor is also known for his work in Man of Steel director Zack Snyder’s 2009 film The Watchmen. He would be a welcomed addition to what has become a stellar cast.

Director Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man film was set to hit theaters on July 31, 2015, but it has been moved up to July 17. The date recently opened up when Superman Vs Batman was delayed by 10 months, pushing its release date into 2016.

Ant-Man has been gaining steam as of late with Paul Rudd being cast as Ant-Man and Michael Douglas joining the film as Hank Pym.

Also recently reported to be involved is Lost actress Evangeline Lilly, who fans are speculating may play the character Wasp. She has the ability to shrink like Ant-Man, with the additional ability of flight.

Ant-Man will begin production this April and hit theaters mid 2015. We look forward to hearing more about Patrick Wilson and Evangeline Lilly’s involvement in Ant-Man.
