No, it’s not April Fool’s Day. Yes, this is real life. Martha and Snoop will be hosting a dinner party for all their famous friends each week on VH1.

If you were unaware, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg actually go way back. They’ve both been on The $100,000 Pyramid and the Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber. Snoop has also appeared on Stewart’s talk show.

Now they’ve got a new project in the works tentatively called Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party, reports Variety.

It’s an unscripted series that was picked up by VH1. “The series will feature the lifestyle maven and the D-O-double-G teaming up each week to host a dinner party with celebrity guests,” states Variety. It was created by Stewart and Kim Miller Olko and will premiere this fall. The two of them are also executive producing alongside Snoop Dogg.

“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” Stewart said. “‘Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party’ will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”

Calling her his homegirl, Snoop adds, “We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”

VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy promises “it will be unforgettable.”

Good or bad, there’s no doubt that is true. The idea of Martha and Snoop sharing a screen week after week has already got plenty of people interested, if only to see the antics of this extremely odd couple.
