The third Captain America movie Civil War already has a huge cast of heroes, but Marvel may not be finished adding stars.

While speaking with Hitfix this week about his new film Infinitely Polar Bear, Ruffalo revealed that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. told him he’s in Captain America: Civil War.

“If Robert Downey, Jr. says I’m in Captain America, I’m in Captain America dammit,” he said. “And I will wait for the day that my call sheet shows up at my doorstep or my script. At this point, I’m told that I’m in it by Robert, which I’ll take as biblical, but I just haven’t heard or seen from production yet.”

Filming is already underway on Civil War, and Ruffalo is one actor who has yet to be spotted on the set. One would assume that if he were to appear he’d already be there, but perhaps Bruce Banner/The Hulk’s role will be a small one.

Marvel has already announced the following characters will be in Civil War: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, The Vision, Hawkeye, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Falcon, Agent 13, Crossbones, and General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Spider-Man is rumored to be in the film as well. In a way, it’s another Avengers movie as we await the two-part Avengers: Infinity War.

“Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity,” reads Marvel’s synopsis for Civil War. “After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.”

Do you think Ruffalo will be in ‘Civil War’? Or is he messing with fans?
