A date has been set for Mark Hamill, affectionately known as Luke Skywalker to Star Wars fans, to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

How he’s gone so long without one, we’re not sure, but Mark Hamill will finally make his mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 8, 2018. Variety reports that the ceremony will take place at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard (in front of the El Capitan Theatre) at 11:30 a.m.

What makes this news even more exciting is that George Lucas and Harrison Ford will both be in attendance to emcee the event with Leron Gubler, who is the CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Star ceremonies are free for the public to attend, and this one would certainly be a dream for any Star Wars fan.

Hamill, whose social media presence is infamous, took to Instagram to say this about the news:

Hilariously, William Shatner got involved in the conversation, proposing that Hamill’s star be relegated to the south side of the street, as not to “devalue the neighborhood” of the north side, where Shatner’s own star resides! Not to be outdone, Hamill retorted with a witty, “live long, but get lost.”

Which stars would you like to see join the Walk of Fame after ‘Star Wars’ actor Mark Hamill?
