Mandy Moore may have spent the past few years focusing on her acting career, but it sounds as though fans can expect new music from the This Is Us star very, very soon!
It’s no secret that Mandy Moore has been clocking in some studio hours.
In fact, earlier this summer, the This Is Us star shared via Instagram that she was in the process of “making new music with some of [her] favorite people ever.”
As exciting as the photos were to behold, Moore kept fans in the dark with regards to when we might get to hear the tunes she’s been working on. Now, it’s looking like the wait for Mandy Moore’s big music comeback might be over incredibly soon.
On Thursday (September 12), journalist Yashar Ali took to Twitter to share that new Mandy Moore music would actually be released into the world early next week.
“SCOOP: A source* familiar with the matter tells me that @TheMandyMoore will be releasing new music for the first time in a decade this Tuesday!” tweeted Ali.
Normally, one should take unnamed sources with a grain of salt, but as the journalist joked at the end of the tweet, the source of the exciting news is, in fact, someone with insight on the matter.
“*The source’s name rhymes with Schmandy Schmoore,” continued Ali in the tweet.

Moore herself hasn’t commented on the subject BUT she has spent the day favoriting tweets from excited fans who just can’t wait to listen to what she’s been cooking up in the studio!
There’s currently no word on whether Moore’s big release will serve as a precursor to an album announcement (her last album, Amanda Leigh, was released 10 years ago in June 2009).
Regardless, we’re just excited to hear that Mandy Moore is ready to share new music with us again!
