The Mandalorian released its second trailer, and in this new, longer look at the new Star Wars series, it feels a bit like the Wild West.

The Mandalorian gave us another look at the show, and though we still don’t get a look at Pedro Pascal’s character under his helmet (though we do hear his voice through his helmet in this trailer), we get a real taste of the gritty, exciting nature of the show. While the Star Wars movies tell stories on a sweeping, galaxy-wide scale, The Mandalorian follows one lone gunfighter working in the outer reaches of the galaxy.

The second trailer gives off some serious Western vibes making it feel like a fresh, new story to explore while still making us feel right at home within the Star Wars universe. Take a peek and see what you think.

The Mandalorian is set after the events of Return of the Jedi, but before the First Order comes to power, leading to the events of The Force Awakens. And despite occuring during a theoretical peacetime, things are anything but peaceful. The trailer gives us flashes of the titular Mandalorian fighting huge beasts, dog fights in space, and the ever-present threat of other locals trying to kill him.

We know from The Mandalorian panel at Star Wars Celebration that Pascal’s character is a successful bounty hunter with a “questionable moral character,” who is working with a man named Carga (Carl Weathers). Carga heads up a bounty hunter guild and views Pascal’s character as a highly capable hunter who can “get things done,” as Weathers explained at the panel.

But what is a Western space battle without a bad guy? We know that Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) will be playing an antagonistic Imperial, and honestly, it’s tough to think of a better bad guy than the man who brought Gus Fring to life.

So while the big details are sparse, we can’t wait to see what The Mandalorian has in store for us. And if this new trailer is any indication, we’re in for an exciting Western-style space adventure.

The Mandalorian will stream on Disney+ starting on November 12.
