A new Man of Steel featurette gives us new footage of Henry Cavill as Superman in flight, along with interviews with director Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, and Michael Shannon.

“Superman is the most powerful, but also the most vulnerable superhero you can imagine,” says Man of Steel director Zack Snyder. As we approach Man of Steel’s June 14 release date, we’re starting to see additional footage of the film, along with interviews of the cast. In this new featurette, we see new footage of Superman in flight, along with a great shot of him flying Lois Lane out of harm’s way. Check out the new Man of Steel video below:

We’ve been enjoying the teasers for Man of Steel, but maybe more importantly, we’d like to point out how inspiring Hans Zimmer’s score has felt so far. We imagine the music in Man of Steel is being taken very seriously, as Superman and his theme song, written by the legendary John Williams, has allowed many fans to remain emotionally connected to the grandfather of superheroes.

While Iron Man 3 has been in theaters the past few weeks, breaking $1 billion at the box office this past week, Man of Steel is steadily increasing in buzz. Early reviews of the film are very positive, and with Man of Steel being an origins story, similar to Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, we’re expecting it to go over well with audiences across the globe.

Man of Steel’s release date is set for June 14 and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, and Laurence Fishburne. Check out the official trailer for the film and several images released of the characters last week.
