Man of Steel director Zack Snyder has revealed an interesting Easter egg that may link another DC superhero to the Superman reboot. (minor spoilers)

Man of Steel’s promotional efforts have definitely been increased in the last few weeks, with TV spots and character posters, and once the official trailer was released, fans flocked to see new Man of Steel footage. Then the film’s final trailer was released recently, and now it’s all out Superman for the next two weeks.

We know fans have been very curious as to whether a Justice League film would be headed our way if Man of Steel is successful, and while there have been rumors of a 2015 release date, it’s still remained unnamed sources and rumors. Now we may have our first clue to the future of the DC universe.

Director Zack Snyder spoke with Collider this weekend and revealed a pretty interesting Easter egg that will be included in Man of Steel. Snyder says, “The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.” He was then asked if he would like to get Batman and Superman together in Man of Steel’s sequel.

Zack Snyder went on to say that, “I don’t know. Everything is interesting at this point, and don’t forget that Lex [Luther] is out there, doing who knows what.”

So we know that Snyder is putting a few interesting tidbits for fans to hopefully catch a glimpse of, which could connect characters like Batman to the world he has created for his Superman reboot. Zack Snyder also recently revealed in an interview that a Justice League film was still up in the air at this point. He stated, “I feel like you need to get Superman a little further down the road before you can do a Justice League movie.”

So it appears we may not be seeing a Justice League film in the near future, but it doesn’t seem to be out of the question if Man of Steel is a mega-success similar to director Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy.

So far the reception of the film has been solid, and fans seem to be very happy with the trailers that have been released for the film. A 13-minute featurette was released recently that featured loads of new footage from Man of Steel, along with interviews with the cast and crew.

Man of Steel’s release date is set for June 14 and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, and Laurence Fishburne. Check out the official trailer for the film and several images released of the characters recently.
