Man of Steel’s DVD and Blu-ray release is coming tomorrow, November 12, and fans of the film will certainly want to pick up WB’s start to their highly anticipated Superman franchise.

With so many superhero films hitting theaters, Man of Steel’s DVD/Blu-ray set is hitting shelves tomorrow, and it’s an incredible film to watch in your home theater.

Man of Steel pulled in $662 million worldwide at the box office, where many audiences were lucky enough to view Superman in 3D on IMAX screens.

With such an incredible final battle sequence, it could get quite busy and somewhat exhausting watching it at the theater, but at home it’s much easier to enjoy the finer details of the film.

Dialogue is more pronounced and the storyline certainly gets added benefits which are definitely worth additional viewings at home.

While the 3-disc Blu-ray edition contains the film on Blu-ray and DVD, along with special features on the third disc, the collector’s edition includes the metal glyph with the glass stand seen below. Included in the Blu-ray extras is a feature called “Journey of Discovery: Creating Man of Steel.”

Actor Henry Cavill is also featured in the behind-the-scenes footage, showing how he got into Superman-shape for Man of Steel. Somewhat surprisingly, there aren’t any deleted scenes, but fans can enjoy the massive amounts of behind-the-scenes footage. It’s exciting to see that Snyder is interested in shooting behind-the-scenes footage, as we head into the production of his next film Batman Vs. Superman.

We’ll be extremely excited to see behind-the-scenes footage of Man of Steel’s sequel, where we’ll be seeing Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman. There are also rumors that actor Adam Driver is being tested for the role of Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, aka Robin.

The special features on the Man of Steel Blu-ray are very in-depth and great care was clearly taken in creating a seamless edit of the footage. Something that many films often struggle with when putting together bonus feature discs.

The DVD 2-disc Special Edition features the theatrical version, and the 3D Limited Collector’s Edition features the theatrical version of the film in 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD. It also includes a limited release metal “S” glyph with lucite glass stand pictured above.
