Here we go again! Mamma Mia is getting a surprise sequel that is due to be released in theaters next year, Universal has announced.

The movie is literally titled Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! and will be directed by Ol Parker. According to a statement, the movie’s “original cast [are] expected to return and new additions [will] join them.”

Mamma Mia 2 will be comprised of “ABBA songs not featured in the first film — along with some reprised favorites” (like the titular tune, we’re sure). And yes, we’ll be returning to the “magical” Greek island of Kalokairi.

Ol Parker wrote The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and is also writing Here We Go Again. Plot details are still scarce, but the film will be “based on” the songs of ABBA. The movie is slated to hit theaters July 20, 2018.

The first movie’s cast comprised of Amanda Seyfried, Stellan Skarsgård, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Julie Walters, Meryl Streep, and Christine Baranski. Let’s hope ALL of those actors are coming back.
