Maggie Gyllenhaal is joining two fantastic actors in the Irish-British comedy, Frank!

Variety reported the news this morning that Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Dark Knight, Mona Lisa Smile) will be joining actors Michael Fassbender (Prometheus) and Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter) in the comedy Frank.  The film will be helmed by Dubliner Lenny Abrahamson, who directed the Irish films RichardGarage, and Adam and Paul.

Filming will begin this month in New Mexico and Ireland. Frank tells the story of “a young musician (Gleeson) who finds himself out of his depth when he joins a band of eccentric musicians headed by the enigmatic Frank (Fassbender) and his terrifying sidekick Clara (Gyllenhaal).”

Scoot McNairy (Argo) is also in the comedy, alongside musician Carla Azar.

Gyllenhaal appeared in one film in 2012, Won’t Back Down, alongside Viola Davis (The Help). She may star in the 2013 movie White House Down as the female lead. Channing Tatum is set to appear in the same film as a Secret Service agent, and Jamie Foxx may star as the President of the United States.
