Mad Men season 7 continues tonight with episode 2 titled “A Day’s Work.” Check out a preview of the episode and refresh yourself on last week’s premiere.

The synopsis for tonight’s new Mad Men season 7 episode reads, “Peggy receives a bouquet of flowers at the office, Pete navigates the politics of new business and Joan is put in an impossibly awkward situation.” The episode was penned by Jonathan Igla and Matthew Weiner.

Joan appears to be off to a rough start this year. On last week’s premiere episode she was put in a tough situation when a client was looking to pull out from SC&P. Thankfully she was able to change their mind, but not without some help from a business professor.

Elsewhere in last week’s episode we watched as Don made a trip to Los Angeles to visit his wife and Pete in the new west coast SC&P office. The synopsis above makes it look like Pete won’t be all smiles like he was last week when he greeted Don with a warm hug. A photo from “A Day’s Work” also depicts a disgruntled Pete, but that’s hardly anything new:

As we’ve come to expect from Mad Men previews, this teaser for episode 2 offers lots of out-of-context remarks from a variety of characters. The most interesting clip is a shot of Pete suggesting to someone that they should start a new agency.

Mad Men season 7, episode 2 airs at 10 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC tonight, April 20.
