While at the Sundance Film Festival for her mini-series Top of the Lake, Elisabeth Moss talked about Mad Men season 6, Peggy Olson, and the future of Mad Men as a whole.
Talking with Access Hollywood, Elisabeth Moss was asked when the Mad Men season 6 premiere will be:
I don’t know if we’ve officially released the start date. You’ll have to google it. It’s soon, obviously.
While Moss doesn’t give a firm start date here (we knew she wouldn’t), we did come to the conclusion that the Mad Men season 6 premiere would have to be either April 7 or 14.
Moss also talked about their current progress filming Mad Men season 6:
We’re halfway through the season. It’s crazy. We’re gearing up for the end, really. We’ve got 20 episodes left to film of Mad Men in its entirety. It’s very emotional, obviously. It’s something that doesn’t feel real that we’re not going to be doing it any more. But at the same time, it’s a little too soon to start talking about that. There’s still a lot of work to be done. We’re not quite there yet. It’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life, that show. It’s going to be a real end of a journey.
Moss was asked what year Mad Men season 6 will be, but she obviously couldn’t say a thing.
I can’t tell you that! That’s the number one thing I can’t tell you. It’s so funny because we can’t say anything, ever, but now I have actually even less to talk about because I can’t say where I am in the show.
The interview predictably didn’t tell us a thing about Mad Men season 6, but it’s hard to believe that there’s only 20 episodes left to film. It’ll be over before we know it, and that will be a sad day indeed.
