Though we heard just the other day that Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner would have to be working around Betty Draper actress January Jones’ real life pregnancy, we imagine it didn’t become too big a part of the fifth season.
That’s because Jones has just given birth!
The Daily Mail reports:
The 33-year-old Emmy-nominated actress gave birth on Tuesday and named the baby Xander Dane Jones.
‘Mom and baby are doing great,’ her representative said in a statement.
January, who first shot to fame in the film American Wedding, announced back in April that she was expecting her first child.
Our guess is Jones’ pregnancy was not written into the Mad Men season 5 story at all. Filming for the show only started last month, and it’s likely that she was on set for only a fraction of the time. Either she doesn’t appear at all or we’re not able to see her baby bump!
