Coming fresh off the heels of 2012’s breakout single, “Thrift Shop,” rapper Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis have teamed up again for the latest single off their collaboration album, The Heist.
“Can’t Hold Us” features much of the musical originality fans have come to associate with this musical duo and, like “Thrift Shop,” incorporates a memorable hook in the backbeat that’s sure to be stuck in your head all summer long.
The video itself features the rapper, producer, and their posse, raising their banner proud, as they brave desert, snow, sea, and and suburban streets to make their way back to their hometown of Seattle. The video ends with an American flag embossed with the title of their album, The Heist, flying high over Seattle’s iconic Space Needle.
