Love, Victor has found its newest season 2 cast member in Betsy Brandt.

According to Deadline, actress Betsey Brandt has joined the cast of Love, Vitor season 2 in what is being referred to as a major recurring role.

Specifically, the Breaking Bad alum will take on the role of Felix’s mother who, while loving, also happens to be battling with mental health issues of her own.

For those who need a bit of a refresher, Felix (Anthony Turpel) is one of Victor’s closest friends and also happens to be the titular characters neighbor. They first meet when Victor and his family move in, but it’s not until further into the series’ first season that Victor realizes that there’s a reason why Felix hardly ever brings friends back to his own apartment.

Though Felix’s story was briefly touched on in the first season, we’re sure fans of the character will be excited to know that the hit Hulu series is looking to expand on his story and delve deeper into his home life with the introduction of his mother.

The series, which debuted in June 2020, serves as a spinoff to the 2018 romantic dramedy, Love, Simon, which was based off of Becky Albertalli’s best selling YA novel, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.

Set at Creekwood High School, the series follows the titular teen as he attempts to navigate school work, life in a new city, and his own journey to self-discovery, and his sexual identity.

Season 1 left off on quite the cliffhanger for fans who tuned in, so we’re sure everyone’s pretty excited to hear that production on season 2 is well under way!

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect Love, Victor season 2 to debut via Hulu.
