A whirlwind romance soon turns nightmarish in the first trailer for Rebecca starring Armie Hammer and Lily James.

Netflix is bringing Daphne du Maurier’s timeless classic, Rebecca to life, and now you can feast your eyes on the first full length trailer for the adaptation.

Picturesque Monte Carlo sets the scene for the beginning of the story where a young woman falls in love with a handsome widower named Maxim de Winter.

Things take a quick turn when she arrives, newly married, at Manderley, her new husband’s imposing family estate on the English coast.

Naive and inexperienced, she begins to settle into the trappings of her new life, but finds herself battling the shadow of Maxim’s first wife, the elegant and urbane Rebecca, whose haunting legacy is kept alive by Manderley’s sinister housekeeper Mrs. Danvers.
