Louie season 4 is coming soon, and the trailer has just been released.

During last night’s Fargo premiere, FX unveiled a trailer for Louie season 4. The trailer was also released on their YouTube account.

The trailer doesn’t give any indication of what is to come in Louie season 4, but it serves as a nice tease.

Previously, a few other teasers were released that give a similar seemingly lack of insight to the potential direction of season 4.

The four teasers don’t give us any specific plot points of Louie season 4, but if we look hard, we can maybe conjecture some idea. All of the teasers are distinctly New York City, the city where Louie lives. Though much of the show has taken place there, the past two seasons have seen Louie travelling more (as is necessary for a stand up comedian), but maybe he’ll be in New York City for more of season 4 than he had in the previous two. That’s the best we can come up with.

When Louis C.K. appeared on the January 2 premiere of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee season 3, he said that Louie would last “seven or eight years, tops.” While that doesn’t seem like much, this will only be the fourth season of Louie, so there’s still plenty of show left to come.

Louie season 4 will undoubtedly be just as delightfully weird as its three predecessors, and that’s certainly a good thing. The show has been one of the funniest, truest, most philosophical shows on TV, and that has led to it receiving enormous critical acclaim. The show took a year long hiatus, but it looks to be just as good as ever.

Louie season 4 will debut on May 5. The season will have 14 episodes, and two episodes will air each week for seven consecutive weeks.
