Prometheus and Lost writer Damon Lindelof has been drafted in to rewrite the script of World War Z!

The Brad Pitt vehicle was recently pushed back by six months to a June release date, in order to accommodate six to seven weeks of reshoots. The rewrite seems to confirm fears that the adaptation is not panning out as well as planned, and with Paramount hoping to launch a zombie-epic trilogy, the studio is going all-out to ensure the first entry is popular with audiences.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lindelof will focus on the film’s final act, which is said to be in serious need of restructuring.

What do you make of the news? Are you more comfortable with the film now you know the Lost writer is involved, or more concerned?
