HBO reveals that Looking will return for a second season! Find out who’s been promoted to series regulars and more below!

Looking is returning to HBO next year. TV Line reports that HBO renewed the show for a second season following this past Sunday’s series high ratings for the new show. Following Girls certainly did not hurt their ratings, but Looking can stand on it’s own merit as a show worth, well, looking at.

Included in the announcement, a few guest stars were bumped up to series regulars. This includes Dom’s lovable best friend Doris (Lauren Weedman) and Patrick’s swoon-worthy Brit boss, Kevin (Russell Tovey). Richie (Raúl Castillo), Patrick’s current beau, will also stick around to see season 2. Richie and Patrick may be heading for the long-haul following this announcement, but first they must survive meeting Patrick’s family at his sister’s wedding.

Looking is a show built on the relationships of three close friends and the impact that has when new relationships enter the picture. Last week’s episode, “Looking in the Mirror” did a great job setting the characters against one another as they explored new possibilities in their lives. Patrick, Dom, and Agustin hold the opinions of their friends in high esteem, which is reflected in the way begin to view themselves in light of their choices.

Last week’s tiff between Agustin and Patrick left both sides to examine where their lives are heading. Luckily, audiences will get to see all of these relationships develop and play out with a second season!
