Looking returns tonight with season 1, episode 2 “Looking for Uncut” airing on HBO. Catch up on last week’s premiere and preview this week’s episode below!
Following Looking’s premiere episode, the show returns tonight and promises a deeper look at the characters interactions separate from their group. For better or for worse, Patrick, Dom, and Agustîn must take a look at their lives through the lens of their friends.
Previously on ‘Looking’
Last week, the premiere episode introduced the core group of characters and gave a peak at the issues they will face in the season still to come. First up is Patrick, an awkward video game designer in his early 30s, who goes through a series of desperate attempts to find a partner. This includes cruising in the park, an OK Cupid date, and a chance encounter on MUNI.
Second up, Agustîn, Patrick’s soon to be ex-roommate who is in a serious relationship with his partner Frank. At the opening of the episode, Frank and Agustîn make plans to move in with each other. By the end, the couple explores the possibility of inviting other people into their relationship, with an art assistant who works with Agustîn.
Finally, the oldest of the group, Dom, who miserably waits tables and resides with his best girl friend, Doris. Dom toys with the idea of calling an ex, while seeking fulfillment in his life through fooling around with younger men.
This week on ‘Looking’
Changes are brewing this week! Agustîn moves out to Oakland with Frank, while Patrick and Dom return to the city to explore a new and old relationship respectively. Dom’s old flame, Ethan, returns to the area after eight years away. Meanwhile, a few jibes from his friends cause some troubles for Patrick on his first official date with his MUNI guy, Richie.
