In a new interview, Logan Lerman, star of the Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief movie, discusses what it’s been like working on his previous projects and what new ones might be in his future.

The interview was conducted by Coming Soon. In regards to his Percy Jackson role, when asked if it was strange to go back to a fantasy movie after doing Perks of Being a Wallflower, Lerman said, “Oh, very difficult, yeah, very, very difficult. I mean, actually not difficult, because it wasn’t really difficult, but it was interesting to go back into that world.”

He also says he likes the variety between Perks, Percy Jackson, and his latest film, Noah. “They’re just so different, so, so different,” he says. “All three of them are just completely unique challenges, and yeah, I guess the variety is what makes it fun.”

The 20-year-old actor also discusses the fact that it’s refreshing to be on a set with co-stars that are closer to his age. “There’s a different kind of intimate connection we all made,” he exaplains, “and it wasn’t odd to socialize after work together.” Perks co-star Emma Watson also has a role in Noah, and Lerman says that established relationship helped both of them going into the new movie.

As for future projects, Lerman says, “I’m just trying to find something that I really respond to that’s going to be challenging and not like the same thing that I’ve done, you know? I feel like I really want to do something completely different, so I’m trying to find that right now and just reading a lot. I haven’t really found it just yet, but yeah, in the meantime, I guess I’ll just be reading and relaxing a little bit.”

More specifically, the Mark Webb-directed film The Only Living Boy in New York was mentioned. While Lerman hasn’t heard anything more about it since he initially read and liked the script, he is attached to the project. Right now, however, it does appear to be on the back burner.

Be sure to head on over to Coming Soon and read the rest of the interview, in which he talks extensively about both Perks and Noah.
