Almost a year has passed since the beloved Lizzie Bennet Diaries web series ended, but it has just been announced that a new product is on its way.

On July 1, 2014, the publishing house, Touchstone, will release The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet: A Novel. Web series creator, Bernie Su, collaborated with writer, Kate Rorick, to pen the novel, which apparently has “plenty of fresh twists.”

Exclusive material includes:

Revelatory details about the Bennet household, including Lizzie’s special relationship with her father, untold stories from Netherfield, Lizzie’s thoughts and fears about life after grad school and becoming an instant web celebrity.

This is big news for the LBD community as nothing has been heard from the characters (online or in videos) since March. Right now there are also plans for a second book to be released.

No information has been released about the content of the new book, but perhaps we can expect a story about life after the diaries? Or maybe they’ll split the on-screen story in half?

Whatever the case, it will certainly be very different to be inside Lizzie’s head, and privy to what’s going on behind the camera. The format of the book will be the journal-entry style that fans are familiar with, but film and book are very different mediums, so it’ll be interesting to watch how fans react to the change.

Thanks, Tube Filter.
