As part of their lengthy feature on the marketing and release of J.K. Rowling’s first post-Potter book The Casual Vacancy, USA Today also spoke with publisher Little, Brown who provided a small review.

Rowling’s United States publisher Michael Pietsch, who’s read the book, said he expects “the world to be ecstatic at the range of her imaginative reach,” and went on to say the book reminded him of “Dickens because of the humanity, the humor, the social concerns, the intensely real characters.” He also reiterated the book is in no way like Harry Potter.

Rowling will be making several United States television appearances on ABC programming as well as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and holding two print interviews. She’ll be hosting a single public event in New York City for fans.

The Casual Vacancy hits store shelves September 27.
