Listen to all the songs from Glee season 6, episode 1, titled “Loser Like Me” and episode 2, titled “Homecoming,” featuring songs by Alanis Morissette, Ed Sheeran and more!

This Friday, January 6, the curtain will rise on the last season of Fox’s Glee. We’ll try and hold back our tears until it gets closer to the end and instead present you with all of the full songs from the premiere episodes. It’s been since May 2014 that we’ve gotten a full song list and we have to say that it feels great to be back in the game.

We last left Glee when Rachel Berry was making her way to LA in order to star in a television show about her life and the rest of our friends all went on to fulfill their own dreams. Well, things didn’t go exactly as planned and in the premiere we’ll see some of our favorite characters return to Lima to start fresh in their hometown.

Listen to all the songs from season 6, episode 1:

Rachel – Uninvited

Blaine & Rachel – Suddenly Seymour

Vocal Adrenaline – Dance the Night Away

Blaine & the Warblers – Sing

Maybe it’s our love of the song or the incredible pairing of Lea Michele and Darren Criss but “Suddenly Seymour” was the stand out song to us. It just feels so warm and vulnerable and truly captures two people coming home to start a new life. Our other favorite is “Dance the Night Away” by Van Halen and performed by Vocal Adrenaline. We like it because it feels like old school Glee Club and has “Will Schuester” written all over it. It should be quite the sight to see him directing the rival club and what that means for the new New Directions

Listen to all the songs from season 6, episode 2:

New Directions grads – Take on Me

New Directions grads & new recruits – Home

Brittany, Quinn, Santana & Artie – Problem

Jane (Samantha Ware) – Tightrope

Roderick (Noah Guthrie) – Mustang Sally

Alright, so if we’re going off of vocals alone, we have a feeling that Roderick (played by Noah Guthrie) is going to be our new favorite character. Listening to the soulful sound of “Mustang Sally” made us realize that he’s definitely something special.

We have to admit that the cover of “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes is definitely not our favorite arrangement and falls a bit flat vocally but it’s all about the feels for us. This song is supposed to be performed at the homecoming prep rally with the entire original cast and it’s bound to tug at a few heartstrings.

Which song are you most excited to see performed this week?

Glee’s final season kicks off Friday, Jan. 9 with a two hour premiere episode on Fox.
