Last night on Lip Sync Battle John Krasinski and Anna Kendrick took the competition to the next level, with a few surprises along the way!

As one of the creators of Lip Sync Battle John Krasinski started out the night with his take on boy band *NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye.” So of course Krasinski used a hand free set so that he could show off his dance skills. Including imitating a marionette just like how the original boy band preformed the song in their music video. We have to admit that we’re pretty impressed with his moves.

Anna Kendrick followed up his performance with another massively popular boy band, One Direction and their hit “Steal My Girl.” Kendrick got a little more emotional, using the opportunity to profess her love for none other than Emily Blunt who also happens to be married to Krasinski. Even more surprising, was that Blunt was in on the whole thing and kept it from her husband.

In the second round, the actors get to use whatever they want to bring their lip syncs to the next level. Krasinski starts out on stage alone in a tux to preform Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary.” At first you think that he’s using the opportunity to lip sync a woman’s song to get the crowd going. But that’s not all he has up his sleeve, he ends the song by stripping off the tux for a sparkled silver dress. And some new dance moves with his back up dancers that make us forget all about his boy band rendition.

But Kendrick isn’t to be outdone. She takes on Jennifer Lopez’s “Booty,” and shows off her own to drive the crowd wild. With the way that she works the crowd and artfully uses fans for the perfect windblown hair, we’re half convinced this is her calling. And it doesn’t hurt that she calls in friend, and original singer of “Booty,” Jennifer Lopez to help her close out the performance. Even Krasinski is star struck to see JLo.

With little surprise to anyone, Kendrick takes home the championship belt.
