The studio behind The Hunger Games is spending more than it ever has to promote a film, reports the Los Angeles Times.

A cool $45 million is going into promoting the book-to-film adaptation in the United States.

While it’s not as much as most studios spend to promote huge blockbusters like The Hunger Games, word of mouth for both the book and film have been very strong.

We imagine that more money will go into promoting Catching Fire and Mockingjay.

Thanks to the LA Times.
