A big storm in the New England area on Sunday left many airline passengers stranded at several airports — including the stars of Broadway’s The Lion King and Aladdin.

What’s there to do while waiting seven hours for a flight to Orlando? For the casts of the two beloved Disney musicals, there’s just one option: Have a sing-off!

The Lion King cast kicked things off with a chilling performance of “The Circle of Life,” the opening number from their musical. Next up was a freestyle rap by Aladdin’s James Iglehart (who won a Tony last year for his performance as The Genie), about The Lion King cast being more experienced in the art of make-shift performances.

Despite being new to the game (“You all practice every night, as you saw, we improv our way,” Iglehart tells The Lion King cast), Aladdin’s cast went into a performance of their own show’s opening, “Arabian Nights,” and nailed it.

It’s too fun watching both of these casts perform songs in the middle of an airport — and perform them so well. Everyone around them appeared to love watching the special moment despite the dreadful delay situation.

Aladdin and The Lion King are both currently running on Broadway.
