Lindsay Lohan is working to revive her music career, and a sneak peek into her new single “Xanax” has been released.

It’s been over a decade since Lindsay Lohan released new music, but it seems she’s ready to get back at it. We don’t yet have an official release date for her new single, but it is reportedly headed our way soon.

Lohan has been teasing new music for a while now with a few vague posts. The actress and singer has posted pictures of her in a recording studio, with no caption other than a headphones emoji.

However, as Variety reports, she’s finally given us something a lot more definitive, debuting a clip from her new single, “Xanax” on Virgin Radio Dubai’s show The Kris Fade Show. As they say in the clip, her new single will be released “very, very soon,” and is about “anxiety and pressure and taking care of yourself.”

Lindsay Lohan is certainly most well-known for her acting career, but she also had a pretty good run in the early aughts. After highlighting her musical talent in movies like Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, she released an album in 2004 called Speak and a follow-up album in 2005 called A Little More Personal (Raw).

Her songs always were pretty personal: The first single from her debut album was “Rumors,” addressing her frustration over constantly finding herself in the tabloids for partying, and the single off of A Little More Personal was called “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” with a pretty intense music video discussing her very troubled relationship with her father.

So, it isn’t any surprise to hear that “Xanax” is meant to be a song about anxiety, pressure, and taking care of yourself, something Lindsay Lohan has certainly dealt with and worked on over the years. The new single sounds like a more upbeat tune, and from that short clip, it’s pretty catchy.

It’s unclear if “Xanax” is going to be a part of an album release, or if the singer is just dipping her toes back into the music business. Either way, we’re definitely curious what Lindsay Lohan has in store for us when “Xanax” drops.
