Lifetime is making a movie about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s romance, and they’ve finally announced who will be playing our new, favorite couple!

Just as they did before the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Lifetime announced that they will be making an original movie to chronicle the love story of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple have been incredibly private about their romance, so fans of this new royal couple are excited to get a look into how an American actor came to fall in love with and marry a member of the British royal family.

The Lifetime Original Movie will be called Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story, and will be premiering in the spring ahead of the real life couple’s May 19th wedding. The actors who will be playing the iconic duo have been announced, and we’re pretty excited to see this charming love story come to life.

Prince Harry will be played by Murray Fraser, a relative newcomer who has been seen as PC Jason Denny in the miniseries The Loch as well as an episode of the BBC hit Victoria. Meghan Markle will be played by Parisa Fitz-Henley. Fitz-Henley played Reva Connors on Jessica Jones and Luke Cage as well as Fiji Cavanaugh on Midnight, Texas. Fraser might not be a household name, especially to American audiences, but Fitz-Henley definitely won our hearts as Reva Connors. We think she’ll do a great job portraying Meghan Markle.

While Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story will focus on how the two met and fell in love, the Lifetime movie will also focus heavily on the media scrutiny the two received as they were dating, and how they overcame it. This movie is definitely going to get us in the Royal Wedding spirit, and we can’t wait to see the film when it airs in the spring!
