A Life-Size sequel is in the works at Disney, co-star Tyra Banks says.
The 2000 television movie stars Banks as a doll who comes to life after its owner Casey (played by Lindsay Lohan) casts a spell to bring back her dead mother.
Banks confirmed the development of a Life-Size sequel when the conversation was somehow brought up by Digital Spy. “I have a meeting today to go over the script!” she said. “I swear! I don’t think it’ll be out until probably 2015, but I’m guessing – it could be late 2014 or 2015. But it will be back – Life-Size will be back, better than ever.”
Banks later reiterated the news on Twitter when a fan asked her about its legitimacy. “Tis true, Love,” she wrote.
The actress wasn’t able to share any additional information because Disney has her on a tight leash while planning continues. “I can’t [tell you anything] unfortunately,” she said. “I’m under contract with Disney and I can’t talk about it at all, except that it’s coming. But it will be very different, very different. Very modern – a modern take.”
For this news to be exciting as possible, we have to hope for Lohan to make a return. The actress has suffered a couple of setbacks in recent years but has continued to do some film work.
