Parks and Recreation returns this Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET for its 100th episode. NBC has released a clip to commemorate the occasion.

Parks and Recreation season 6 continues this Thursday, January 9 for its 100th episode. For a show with as many narrative dips and turns and Parks and Rec, it’s only fitting that its 100th episode feature the biggest speed bump yet in Leslie Knope’s political career: her impeachment from office.

In this clip from from season 6, episode 10, “Second Chunce,” Leslie cleans her desk of everything except for salt packets.

For a comedy, Parks and Recreation can seem pretty sad at times, as evidenced by Ben asking the telegram folks if they have anything from the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack.

It’s heartbreaking to see the reality of Leslie’s impeachment come to bear, especially as she and Ben watch the details of Councilman Dexhart’s latest sex scandal unfold on television.

Thankfully, Leslie’s enthusiasm is unmatched and her realization of Dexhart’s seat on the City Council soon becoming available could fuel the rest of Parks and Recreation season 6. Or Ben could just talk her out of it. Honestly, it may be best for Leslie’s psyche to take some time off of politics for awhile. With Ben installed as the new City Manager, she can take over production of “The Cones of Dunshire.”
