Brace yourselves, musical fans. A new Les Misérables trailer for the highly-anticipated film leaked online today and offers musical performances from some of the main cast!

For the first time we’re getting to hear some of the actors singing live. The trailer includes appearances from Hugh Jackman (Jean Valjean), Russell Crowe (Javert), Anne Hathaway (Fantine), Amanda Seyfried (Cosette), Helena Bonham-Carter (Madame Thénardier), and Sacha Baron-Cohen (Thénardier).

The trailer invokes a lot of emotion and has us very excited for the December 25 premiere. Watch below:

The first Les Misérables trailer was released back in May and offered a similar amount of excitement. The film is directed by Tom Hooper, who led a cast to uniquely sing every song in every scene 100% live. The result should be pretty amazing on the big screen. You can learn more about this shooting process by watching a behind the scenes featurette released in September. Eddie Redmayne, who plays Marius, says in the piece: “Normally if you were making an old school movie musical as a group of actors we’d go into a studio, record an album, and then two months later we’d arrive on set and we’d play the playback and we would mime along side. The problem with that is that you need to make your acting choices three months before you’ve even met the actor you’re working with.”
