The official Les Miserable YouTube Channel has released four new featurettes focusing on the craft and design of the film. We also get glimpses at scenes and songs not seen in the trailers.

The first featurette focuses on the film’s production design. The clip also provides a first look at the “Lovely Ladies” scene.

In October, we learned that a new original song had been composed for Hugh Jackman, playing the role of Jean Valjean. The clip offers a first glimpse of the new song, “Suddenly.”

The third featurette provides an in-depth look at the hair and makeup design while also featuring a quick shot of Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter performing “Master of the House”

The final featurette has Paco Delgado, the film’s costume designer, explaining the thought that went into several of the characters’ costumes.

Les Miserables hits theaters on Christmas Day. Earlier this week Hypable released their review of the film and were largely positive about it, but thought it was a bit too long. What do you think of these featurettes?
