Leonardo DiCaprio and director Quentin Tarantino are officially teaming up together for another film.

Deadline reports that Academy Award-winner Leonardo DiCaprio is nearing a deal to star in a new film from director Quentin Tarantino.

Details on Tarantino’s new film are being kept firmly under wraps, but we do have a bit of an insight as to who DiCaprio will be playing. Sources say that The Revenant star will be playing an aging actor.

Additionally, we know that the film is set to take place in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969 — the same summer of the infamous Manson murders.

Deadline also reports that Tarantino is also looking to reunite DiCaprio with his Wolf of Wall Street co-star Margot Robbie. If tapped, we could be seeing Robbie assume the role of Sharon Tate.

In real life, Tate was an American actress and model known for her work on the cult classic film Valley of the Dolls. On August 9, 1969, Tate and four others were murdered by members of serial killer Charles Manson’s “family” in the house she shared with husband and director Roman Polanski.

Currently, Tarantino is planning to release his untitled film to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Tate’s murder.

Other high profile actors rumored to be circling Tarantino’s new project include Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

The upcoming Charles Manson-themed movie will mark the first time DiCaprio and Tarantino have worked together since 2012’s Django Unchained.

Tarantino’s new untitled film is set to hit theaters on August 9, 2019.
