Leonardo DiCaprio could be teaming up with Guillermo del Toro for his next big screen endeavor.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio is currently in talks to board the upcoming film Nightmare Alley.

Directed by fellow Academy Award winner Guillermo del Toro, Nightmare Alley is based off of William Lindsay Gresham’s 1946 novel of the same name.

As with the book, the film is set to focus on a young carnival worker who turns into a con-man, and teams up with a female psychiatrist to bamboozle their targets. Things get tricky when the psychiatrist ends up pulling a fast one on him.

In addition to helming the film, del Toro has also co-written the script along with Kim Morgan.

Filming on Nightmare Alley is scheduled to start sometime in the fall, though there’s currently no word on when we can expect the film to hit theaters.

As for DiCaprio, the seasoned actor has been keeping a bit of a low profile over the past few years, having last been seen in 2015’s The Revenant.

Coming up next, DiCapio will be starring opposite Brad Pitt, Dakota Fanning, Kurt Russell, Al Pacino and his Wolf of Wall Street co-star Margot Robbie, in director Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Set in 1969 Los Angeles, the upcoming film hits theaters on July 26.
