Every time Leonardo DiCaprio stars in a movie, it’s always one worth seeing. However, DiCaprio declared he’s taking a long hiatus from acting.

DiCaprio, who was most recently seen in Django Unchained, is starring as the title role in The Great Gatsby this summer and just finished filming Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street due out later this year. In 2011, he was in Clint Eastwood’s political drama J. Edgar, and in 2010 he appeared in two films, Christopher Nolan’s Inception and Scorsese’s Shutter Island.

He told a German news outlet, the Bild (sourced via Indiewire): “I am a bit drained. I’m now going to take a long, long break. I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out.”

So, what is he going to do while he’s taking his hiatus? He answered, “I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment. My roof is covered with solar panels. My car is electric. A normal person does not drive more than 50 kilometres (31 miles) a day. That can be done with a plug.”

It’s very admirable he’s taking a break to “improve the world a bit!” We’ll be very excited to see him return to films, probably in a few years. For now, we wish DiCaprio a very enjoyable and well-deserved break!
