Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that the Star Trek icon Leonard Nimoy will feature in an episode of the hugely popular sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’, to be shown in the US at the end of this month with Nimoy playing Spock in one of Sheldon’s (Jim Parson) dreams.

As fans of the show are aware Spock is Sheldon’s hero and in one episode Sheldon was given a present of a sample of Leonard Nimoy’s saliva. In the show Nimoy also has a restraining order out against Parson’s character.

There have been previous appearance on the comedy by other members of the extended Star Trek family with Wil Wheaton, LeVar Burton, Brett Spiner (All Star Trek: The Next Generation), and George Takei (Star Trek) all appearing.
