Girls is not the only project keeping Lena Dunham busy this year! Check out the cover of her book and get all the details below.

Lena took to Instagram to reveal her latest project, Not That Kind of Girl: A young woman tells you what she’s “learned”, due out October 7, 2014.

The cover has the feel of a book one might pass by if they saw it in a bin at the thrift store. But don’t let that keep you from the stories inside. Almost straight from the pages of an episode of Girls, Hannah Horvett’s doppelganger and creator, Dunham is set to publish the stories of her 27 years.

More of a guiding light than strict “how-to” book, Dunham promises on Amazon that the book, “This book contains stories about wonderful nights with terrible boys and terrible days with wonderful friends, about ambition and the two existential crises I had before the age of twenty.”

The book already sparked some controversy a few years back when an unprecedented bidding war for the rights secured Dunham a record setting deal with Random House. Luckily for Dunham, her book survived at a single publishing house and did not encounter the fate of her character’s ebook.

Girls season 3 reached the halfway mark this past week with Hannah struggling to balance writing for herself and keeping her unique voice in a corporate world. Perhaps Dunham can pass along some advice to her character and tell her that all good things will come with hard work and staying true to yourself.

Girls returns this Sunday with an all new episode and the return of Andrew Rannell’s Elijiah!
