Tonight Lena Dunham will make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live alongside musical guest The National.

Lena Dunham will join the SNL cast in her debut as host tonight and it’s very clear that she’s excited about the prospect of performing at Studio 8H in the Rockefeller Center.

Earlier this week, Lena posted the following picture on her Instagram featuring female cast members Aidy Bryant, Sasheer Zamata and Vanessa Bayer along with the caption “girl pile in Studio 8H.”

Lena Dunham also appeared on the Today Show this week saying that the Girls spoof on SNL recently was “one of the best things” ever. The digital sketch which featured Cecily Strong, Vanessa Bayer, Kate McKinnon, Noel Wells and host Tina Fey was a highlight of this season. Watch the full Girls promo digital sketch below:

The National will also be making its debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live tonight. Their latest album “Trouble Will Find You” was released in 2013. The band is currently embarking on a world tour which will include a stop on the late night comedy show.

Last week, The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons hosted Saturday Night Live with musical guest Beck. Check out our recap of that episode here.
